Pat Wightman retires after 15 years
It is the end of an era for Silvery Tweed Cereals, as our long-term sales administrator and receptionist Pat Wightman leaves for the quiet life of retirement.
For nearly 15 years, Pat has been the first point of contact for many of our customers and partners. Since joining in 2008, Pat has processed orders for each of the Silvery Tweed sites and has been responsible for all customer communications whilst also keeping load plans up to date for haulage.
Conscientious Pat has not left the firm in the lurch, kindly staying on to train and hand over to Ruth Minto, who takes on this integral role. Ruth joins us following seven years at Pearson’s of Duns, where she has worked her way up from office junior to office supervisor.
Bob Gladstone, Managing Director, said “Pat is part of the Silvery Tweed family, and has executed her role with perfection for so long – it makes sense that she is ready for a rest! We will miss her greatly but look forward to welcoming a new member to our team in Ruth.”
Pat’s last day was Friday 29th April. We wish her all the best and hope she will not be a stranger.
